DJ Fuckoff is quickly becoming a star in the constellation of club culture. The DJ, producer and vocalist does things hard, fast and with raw intensity, blending techno, bass, happy hardcore, juke, breakbeat and more. The Berlin-via-New Zealand producer and DJ has always felt alien in some way; like she’s not fully from this Earth. That idea is something she’s relaying through the concept of planet Fucktopia, her own world. Fucktopia: Character Chronicles is the follow-up to her 2023 album Fucktopia, an immersive experience where we’re introduced to an army of rebellious characters. Each figure has a full chronicle associated with them, and comes complete with its own trading card.

Growing up on old skool rave, hip hop and bush doofs in NZ, DJ Fuckoff moved to Berlin by herself aged 21. It was via a live stream in 2020 that she caught wider attention, and has since released on labels including Unknown to the Unknown, Dance Trax, HERAS, Body Language, while becoming a mainstay on Rinse and at Berlin’s Body Language. DJ Fuckoff’s kind and enthusiastic personality sits at odds with her argumentative moniker – she’s passionate about challenging norms around gender and sexuality and uplifting those who are FLINTA*, and realising her vision of a freeing space where femmes are at the front. All of this is why, for her, music is an intense energetic exchange, and one that can be transformative.
